Roman Fever Adaptation

Inspired by Edith Wharton's short story 'Roman Fever,' this screenplay is for the first fifteen minutes of a feature length film that dives deep into the minds and relationships of Wharton's characters. The adaptation follows two New York socialites on a trip to Rome that will change their friendship forever. Read it here.

The Witch in the Woods

Urban magic, old family tensions, and a quest to save a dragon. Jing is like every other recent college graduate; she works at a bookstore, doesn't get along with her roommate, and somehow always misses the bus home. She's also a witch. Totally average, right? When Jing discovers two big secrets, she takes off on a quest to find answers and keep the existence of magic from being revealed to the world. Read the first fifteen pages here.

No-Dialogue Exercise

A two-minute scene written for the Art of Screenwriting using no dialogue. A native Siberian girl goes for a walk with her dog when an alien spaceship crashes nearby. She investigates, wanting to help, but needs to be careful if she doesn't want to end up getting shot by the one alien survivor. Read it here.
